Message Although your theories are correct, you also have to understand that regardless of whether it's a TT or NA, in the field of performance you have to give some to get some.

What do I mean? Think for example: You want better handling for your car so you put in upgraded suspension. The car handles better but at a small expense of ride comfort as the suspension is now stiffer than stock and it translates everywhere on the ride. Another example, you install a pulley in the car, benefit is that you have lower rotational resistance on the crank thus allowing for quicker revs when you hit the gas. You free up some HP there. The downside to the pulley is that, the car revs up faster but at the same time it also slows down faster. Throttle becomes a little more touchy.

Same goes for aftermarket exhausts. On the NA, you free up the exhaust flow which is great for HP (high end that is). When you increase exhaust flow to high end HP, you have to give that up somewhere and that's on the low end. The reduction in back pressure comes at a price on the low end. If you wanted low end toque then you should have stuck with a stock exhaust or a Honda pipe sized one. But then that would hurt your high end HP. Catch 22.

You give some to get some, basic rule of thumb. I think you're just being a bit overly sensitive about the HP thing... LOL
